☀️ SUMMER RECAP 1/3 ☀️ 🇨🇵 J'ai navigué en IMOCA !! Au début de l'été j'ai eu la chance de travailler quelques jours pour @jb.daramy sur son IMOCA pour la Route du Rhum, un bateau à dérives de 2007 (le bateau a mon âge?), né Gitana 80 et skippé par @oliverheeroceanracing sur le Vendée 2024. J'ai pu embarquer pour un entraînement puis un convoyage Lorient - Port-La-Forêt, pour une première fois en IMOCA c'était dingue ! En passant devant les Glénans je me suis rappelé qu'il y a à peine 4 ans en stage de catamaran je courais vers la côte à Penfret pour voir les IMOCAs passer en mer, et maintenant c'est mon tour ! Merci énormément à @jb.daramy pour sa confiance et pour cette première fois en IMOCA, qui sera on espère pas la dernière ! ------------- 🇬🇧 I sailed on an IMOCA!! At the start of the summer, I was lucky enough to spend a few days working for @jb.daramy on his IMOCA for the Route du Rhum – a 2007 non-foiling boat (the same age as me?), originally named Gitana 80 and skippered by @oliverheeroceanracing in the Vendée 2024. I got to come on board for a training session and then a delivery trip from Lorient to Port-La-Forêt – for my first time on an IMOCA, it was absolutely amazing! As we sailed past the Glénans, I remembered that barely four years ago, whilst on a catamaran course, I used to run down to the coast at Penfret to watch the IMOCAs passing by at sea, and now it’s my turn! A huge thank you to @jb.daramy for his trust and for this first experience on an IMOCA – which I hope won’t be the last!

🥉JOG St-Vaast 2026 This weekend I crossed the channel on the X-332 Adélie (IRC 3) for the @jogyachtracing St-Vaast race. It was an amazing race with a beautiful sunset at the start and tricky weather conditions during the night. We ended up 3rd in IRC 3 (first on the line) which is really a great result. Thanks to Rob and his crew for having me onboard!

🥇Warsash Spring Series 2026 This first weekend after uni Easter break was a double racing weekend. On Saturday I raced in Portsmouth with @sailingpinballwizard and his lovely crew for the @portsmouthsailingclub Spring series, great conditions and some really cool racing! I then stepped up on Sunday as I sailed for the first time with the incredible Jukebox crew for the last of four days of the @warsashsailingclub Spring series. It was an amazing experience within a highly performant crew. We won both races and the Series overall in IRC 2, which is always nice! I can't wait to sail again with them this season, with Round the Island and Cowes week on the calendar. 2026 season is just getting started, stay tuned!

🇨🇵 Pendant mes vacances de Pâques j'ai eu la chance d'être acceuilli par @nicoandrieu_sailing pour un stage de deux semaines au sein du bureau d'études du @charalsailingteam . Le stage était consacré au développement d'un outil Python de calcul de structure sur une section bimodulaire de foil. Cet outil, entièrement fait à la main, permet d'otenir la contrainte et la déformation en flexion et torsion de la section, à partir de sa géométrie, de ses matériaux et des efforts qui lui sont appliqués. C'était pour moi une première expérience en bureau d'études qui m'a permis de beaucoup apprendre, en calcul de structures mais aussi sur le travail dans la course au large en général. Merci énormément à toute l'équipe de BeYou Racing pour leur acceuil ! Ma garde-robe de course au large s'aggrandit d'année en année et c'est toujours un plaisir de découvrir de nouvelles équipes avec qui travailler. Après ces semaines à Lorient il est temps pour moi de rentrer à Southampton finir ma 1ère année d'architecture navale, à très vite ! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 🇬🇧 During my Easter holidays, I was fortunate enough to be welcomed by Nicolas Andrieu for a two-week internship at the Team BeYou Racing design office. The internship focused on developing a Python-based structural analysis tool for a bimodular foil section. This tool, built entirely from scratch, calculates the stress and strain in bending and torsion of the section, based on its geometry, materials and the forces applied to it. This was my first experience in a design office, and I learnt a great deal, not only about structural analysis but also about working in offshore racing in general. A huge thank you to the whole BeYou Racing team for their warm welcome! My offshore racing wardrobe is growing year by year and it’s always a pleasure to discover new teams to work with. After these weeks in Lorient, it’s time for me to head back to Southampton to finish my first year of naval architecture – see you soon!

Another keelboating USL event with @unisotonsailing , this time in RS21 at the @official_rutlandsc . We competed with tyler.horton.865, @tobyrichardson_sailing and Rory against many great uni teams but mostly against the cold and rain (feels like -4°C, it was basically snowing on the water), all the pics are from the sunny but not windy day. Last time out on the water at the @royalsouthernyc for the Hamble Winter Series 2025 ! I had the pleasure of joining the crew of J'ronimo as kyte trimmer for an hour and a half long race in the Solent. We ended up 5th out of 11th, and I am really happy with that for a first race outside of uni. A lovely day of sailing, and looking forward to 2026 with loads of new opportunities coming up🔥 📸: @fire_and_sparks_photography (first pic)

First official race in J70 with @unisotonsailing ! Academy Trophy in the @royalsouthernyc , first event out of 4 in the University Sailing League. I was kyte and jib trimmer, which I genuinely enjoy as you can see in the first pic😁 Results didn't come up quite yet we're a new team so we'll get there. Overall awesome weekend with a lovely crew, thanks guys :)

[CONVOYAGE] 🇨🇵 À l'occasion de mon stage à Lorient chez @skawsailing la semaine dernière, j'ai pu convoyer le Mini 6.50 Mingulay avec @joshuaschopfer_navigateur vers les Sables d'Olonne pour le départ de @laminitransat . 10h de nav en ligne droite à base de gennak, musique à fond et gros fun🤘 Maintenant le bateau est prêt aux Sables pour prendre le départ de la course, let's go Josh !! 🇬🇧 During my internship in Lorient at @skawsailing last week, I was able to transport the Mini 6.50 Mingulay with @joshuaschopfer_navigateur to Les Sables d'Olonne for the start of @laminitransat . 10 hours of straight line sailing with gennak, loud music and lots of fun🤘 Now the boat is ready in Les Sables for the start of the race, let's go Josh! #sailing #mini650 #minitransat #offshoreracing

[STAGE] 🇨🇵 Ces deux dernières semaines j'ai eu la super opportunité de travailler pour @skawsailing l'occasion de la préparation de @laminitransat . J'ai pu aider à la préparation de leur Mini 6.50 Nicomatic - Petit Bateau 🚀 à Lorient puis aux Sables d'Olonne et faire les sacs de pharmacie et nourriture. J'ai aussi pu participer au chantier du SKAW A en construction à Lorient, et travailler au bureau d'études. Un immense merci à @benoit_marie_navigateur et @caroboule qui m'ont accueilli au sein de l'équipe et m'ont permis de gagner de l'expérience précieuse avant de commencer mon cursus d'architecture navale à @uni_southampton 🔥 🇬🇧 Over the past two weeks, I had the amazing opportunity to work for @skawsailing in preparation for @laminitransat . I helped prepare their Mini 6.50 Nicomatic - Petit Bateau 🚀 in Lorient and then in Les Sables d'Olonne, and packed the first aid kits and food supplies. I also got to take part in the construction of the SKAW A in Lorient and work in the design office. A huge thank you to @benoit_marie_navigateur and @caroboule for welcoming me into the team and allowing me to gain valuable experience before starting my naval architecture course at @uni_southampton 🔥 #sailing #internship #offshoreracing #minitransat #mini #skaw #shipyard

[WORLD SAILING] Ça y'est j'ai ma certification World Sailing ! J'ai profité de mes vacances scolaires en février pour aller à Lorient pour 3 jours de formation sur la survie et la médecine en mer. J'ai appris énormément, en espérant que je n'aie jamais à m'en servir😅. J'ai pu rester quelques jours de plus pour notamment assister à un entraînement en figaro avec @lorientgrandlarge (merci @ledraoulec 😁) et filer un coup de main à @joshuaschopfer_navigateur sur son projet Mini. Maintenant retour à la prépa en attendant les entraînements au printemps en Mini à Concarneau⛵

[TRAVERSÉE DE LA MANCHE] La semaine dernière j'ai traversé la manche pour la première fois avec @lesglenans_officiel sur un @rmyachts 1050 ! Super expérience, deux navigations de 19h pour aller et revenir à Dartmouth en Angleterre depuis Paimpol en Bretagne. C'était la dernière navigation pour moi en 2024, maintenant retour en cours et rendez-vous l'année prochaine pour la reprise des entraînements en mini😁 #sailing #offshoresailing #cruise #sailor #glenans #channel #foryou #fyp
